Dear reader,
In this day and age the use of media and information comes in different for each and everyone. With a wide range of social and direct media there are many different ways to get information out and to receive information. For different age groups calls for a different kind of media. With social media holding a great stand in today's society with the use of Facebook, Instagram and twitter. These are mere platforms to distribute media and promote media. With YouTube being a dominant factor in viewing media whenever needed it has become the resource for millennials to gain information outside of the traditional media.
Every year I am looking and thinking about different ways to reach the people that might be interested in the content that I create. There are two main ways to consume content. That is with our eyes and ears. Within these two parts of our body there are many different options with regards to listening, watching and reading. For over a year I have been writing a blog post every week. Since the beginning of the year I have been using a second form of media to share the knowledge that I have obtained and to diversify the way people can access this information.
Knowledge:
As I have written in earlier posts is that knowledge has become a major part of our daily lives. The way we consume, generate and share knowledge has been changing. With the use of different online platforms it has become of greater efficiency to share and get any knowledge within an instant. With more and more people finding the world of personal and self development people are gaining more knowledge about themself and discovering new people that are sharing their experiences within this world.
For me knowledge has become very important. By reading more and more in very diverse ranging subjects I am learning new things every day about things I would never have thought about. By expanding my horizon I am becoming more knowledgeable about different subjects. Some are of more interest then others and some change my perspective of what I don't or did not know.
Something different:
By diversifying the use of different kinds of social platforms and media, we are able to share more and more content. With blogs being of great use to find out honest reviews about products or experiences or even sharing written knowledge that one might not even think of these are very important and often overlooked because of the use of YouTube videos and vlogs. A vlog is a video that shares what a person is doing or it tells a story about their life.
One lesson my mother has always taught me is to do something different then the rest. Whether this is by the clothes you wear or the experience you want to get. That is always on my mind when I am thinking about what I want to create and how I am to create something. It is easy to copy something that someone else is doing and say that you have created something unique. But what makes a true creator is to think outside of the box and create in a way that no one is doing and that is not around yet.
Blogcast:
With social media changing fast from words to pictures to movies we are just consuming with our eyes. But we often forget what we save and I don't know if the knowledge is being stored efficiently. Often by watching it becomes entertainment and I don't know if people take action from just watching someone explain something.
As I was thinking outside of the box I came up with the idea of a blogcast. A blogcast is a podcast version of a blog. As some people prefer listening over reading this is a great way to share the knowledge in different ways that are possible. Also by listening there comes more information and the way a person talks has more influence than that it is written. Also people tend to listen to something again then to read it again.
So I have been testing and creating a blogcast for this year. Every week on Wednesday I am sharing an audio version of my blog that you can listen to. This is a weekly blogcast that ranges somewhere between the 10 and 20 minutes every week. In this blogcast I will read out my blogpost and share a bit more information about that week's topic that I am discussing. So if you prefer to listen just search for Moments2Success on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or any other podcast services and you will find every episode that I have made this year so far relating to my blog.
Thank you for reading and see you next week.
