Week 63: More stimulus!!

Dear reader,  The pandemic is far from over still. In some countries the cases are rising and the vaccines don't always seem to be as great as they should be. We are not heading back to "normal" or so far we know normal is going to be. Talking about a new normal, the stimulus checks. Free money from the government. Who has to go to work when the government sends you a check?    This week I am talking about my economic concern with regards to the stimulus check, the way people are investing this money and what the most effective use of investment the stimulus check can be. I live in the Netherlands so I don't get a check but the government is paying for my salary while all restaurants are closed. Kind of the same principle but it is not "free money". There are no extra handouts but also in Europe this money has to come from somewhere.  Stimulus check:   The stimulus check is a government handout because people have been suffering from income reduction or loss...

Week 62: Blogcast!!

Dear reader,  In this day and age the use of media and information comes in different for each and everyone. With a wide range of social and direct media there are many different ways to get information out and to receive information. For different age groups calls for a different kind of media. With social media holding a great stand in today's society with the use of Facebook, Instagram and twitter. These are mere platforms to distribute media and promote media. With YouTube being a dominant factor in viewing media whenever needed it has become the resource for millennials to gain information outside of the traditional media.  Every year I am looking and thinking about different ways to reach the people that might be interested in the content that I create. There are two main ways to consume content. That is with our eyes and ears. Within these two parts of our body there are many different options with regards to listening, watching and reading. For over a year I have been ...

Week 61: February challenge, 10.000 steps a day!!

Dear reader, For every month of this year I am going to do a challenge. I am going to challenge myself to do something I should or should not be doing. By doing this I am able to create the best version of myself and see where I am addicted too in life and what great changes I can make to improve my health, well being, finances and mood. Maybe more improvements that I don't know will come up during these challenges.  This month's challenge is to walk 10.000 steps each day. While being in a lock down and having a curfew we all tend to get lazier. The motivation to go out and do something loses sight of the reality. For my job working in a restaurant I am used to walking and standing almost the entire day. With different times of the year there come different amounts of steps. On a quiet winter day I would manage 10.000 steps and on a busy summer day I can easily reach somewhere around the 25.000 steps. For the last while I have been feeling a bit more tired, lazy and in pai...

Week 60: Learn from others!!

Dear reader,  If there is something you want to do, know more about or become better at then often you can look for the right people that have been able to achieve what you want to do. By finding the right people that are able to teach you is far greater than keep making the same mistakes and failing at what you are willing to achieve. Most people that are good in something and are specialized are glad to help you to become better at whatever it is.  During the last few years I have been discovering most of my development myself. But at some moments and with somethings it is good to have someone you can ask for advice or more information. This week I am going to talk about what you can learn from others and what they can learn from you. In taking the steps to reach your success having someone around can have great advantages and maybe you can even help each other in some way or another.  Share the knowledge:   In this day and age it is easy to gain any type of knowle...

Week 59: Cryptocurrency pt2!!

Dear reader,  Last August I wrote a blog about cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. ( Link here!!) Now six months later the world and people are adapting more to this digital currency. With Bitcoin reaching nearly $60.000 (last August it was $12.000) and the total market cap at almost $1.8 trillion dollars there has a lot been going on in the world of cryptocurrency. More and more companies, government officials and people are investing or using this digital currency.  This week is kind of an update to the world of cryptocurrency and the craze that is happening with it. I am going to explain what has happened to the world of crypto in the last few months, what is to come, why more and more people are getting into it and how you can turn investing into crypto your success.  Disclosure:   Before you start investing into cryptocurrency or any other kind of investments please do your own research. I want to fully disclose that I am not a financial advisor or planner, I don't rec...

Week 58: Blank blog post!!

Dear reader,  There are weeks that you are filled with inspiration, other weeks you are testing and trying stuff out. For this week it has been that last kind of week for me. The world isn't stopping and sometimes inspiration has not landed yet. The question is what am I going to talk about this week? What am I going to write about or what kind of video do I want to make? The well of inspiration has run dry for the moment.  That is what this week is for me, staring at a blank blog post with the intention to write a post every week. Some weeks are full of great ideas and others well, are not. Often during the week I start looking at events, books I am reading, people I listen to to gain inspiration what to write about that week. It doesn't happen often that I have no idea what I am going to write about. Except for this week. I had some different ideas but I was not fully convinced that I could write a honest part about something that I could not support. So this week is about t...

Week 57: January challenge; water for a month!!

This month's challenge is to only drink water for the entire month of January. With the New Years celebration on the first I will start the second of January and since January has 31 days I will still make it for 30 days. So what do I normally drink? Well I start every morning with a glass of water during breakfast, when I am at work I will have 4 to 5 cappuccinos during the day, also there will be about 3 to 5 sodas depending on the time of the year and day. During the weekend days then there might be some more alcoholic beverages. When I am at home I will have ...
