Week 48: Progress report Q4!!

Dear reader,

The last quarter of the year as almost ended. With just a few more weeks to go in 2020 this crazy year is almost done with. Because we have only a few more weeks to go I want to look back on the final quarter of the year a bit earlier then normal. It has been a tough year and when you have your goals for the year you need to keep them up as much as you can.

Just like my previous quarter check ups I am going to look at my board and see how I have been doing this quarter and see what I can do to finish the last few weeks of strong with the holidays coming up. I hope by the end of the year to be able to finish off each and every part of my board in one way or another so let's see how this last quarter has been and what I can do to finish off strong.

Goals:

At the beginning of the year I made this board and it has been in my bedroom, every day I am able to look at my goals and by visualizing them I am able to get a better understanding of where I am at and what I need to accomplish before the year ends. I have divided it into four pieces, personal, financial, health and dreams. All these things remind me of where I want to be by the end of the year. There is no time frame when each goal needs to be met, some I achieve earlier then others and others take a bit more time.

Personal: Some of these goals have been met a while back, like reading 20 books this year. Due to the Covid virus and the lock downs I have much more free time and I am able to do what I want when I want to. I am still reading but now I am using the time differently and at night I am either working on my investments, my blog or my business. The overall score will be lower because I have all the time and it doesn't need to be managed as much as I am normally used to. Grade, 6.

Financial: My financial goals are met and I am continuing them on track to the end of the year. Unfortunately I do miss some of my salary so once and a while I do need to take some money out of my savings account. I have on another board written how much I have gotten out of my savings so I can pay myself back once my full salary would be paid or if any other money will come in I can pay myself back. With regards to my investments they are on track. I see a positive line moving upwards with amount invested and return on investments.  Grade, 8.

Health: This last period of the year is not always the best period of the year. With a turkey during thanksgiving and probably some meat during Christmas I will not fully stick to my diet. In between these days I will focus as much as possible to keep myself on track. This time is also the time I drink a bit more alcohol. The whole year I have been working good to keep myself on track and I deserve a little break once and a while. From the first of January I am going to do a alcohol free month again like I do almost every year.  Grade, 7.

Dreams: The dream part is what has been lacking almost the entire year. But they say that great things come last. So I can proudly say that the dream goals I have been writing down are taking shape. Unfortunately finding love has not been so successful yet. I thought I was getting there but unfortunately she had other ideas and I respect them. But I have been able to travel, the shortest planned trip ever. In just three days time I talked about going on holiday, the next day I made some phone calls and booked my trip. Two days later I was in Portugal, it was a great vacation and it was most needed to. Finally things are taking shape for my business. Not only is moments2success growing and do I have great ideas for 2021 also a new project that I have been working on together with my brother is working and growing. I can't reveal to much but as soon as I can then I'll let you know. Dreams do come true, patience is key! Grade, 8.5.

The year is nearing towards the end and I think many other people can also agree that it would be good to have this year over with. With a lot of negativity and to much isolation people go crazy. Soon I will be reflecting back on 2020 as a whole and looking towards 2021 with a new set of goals. These goals have helped me to become a better and more effective person. It takes on step at the time and for some goals it takes time before you have your desired results.

Thank you for reading and see you next week.

Franklin, Moments2Success

Week 60: Learn from others!!

Dear reader,  If there is something you want to do, know more about or become better at then often you can look for the right people that have been able to achieve what you want to do. By finding the right people that are able to teach you is far greater than keep making the same mistakes and failing at what you are willing to achieve. Most people that are good in something and are specialized are glad to help you to become better at whatever it is.  During the last few years I have been discovering most of my development myself. But at some moments and with somethings it is good to have someone you can ask for advice or more information. This week I am going to talk about what you can learn from others and what they can learn from you. In taking the steps to reach your success having someone around can have great advantages and maybe you can even help each other in some way or another.  Share the knowledge:   In this day and age it is easy to gain any type of knowle...

Week 12: Investing opportunity of a lifetime!!

Dear reader, These are crazy times, every country is going in lockdown, streets are empty, no airplanes in the sky. The world is changing as we know it. I use this time to educate myself. I have bought several books and I am planning on buying some more in the next weeks. But why is this the investing opportunity of a lifetime? Isn't the stock market falling down every day, aren't the business closed now and everyone is working from home..??? As Warren Buffet says: Attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy when others are fearful. Four opportunities of a lifetime: In our lifetime we will have four or five great business cycles where we can profit from. This means we are able to buy the business that we like so much at a discount from where it was several months ago. Think like you are doing your shopping. You love steaks, this week steak is at $5,- a pound, that's a lot for a steak, now you wait a week and you see that the same steak is sel...

Week 10: The everything bubble!!

Dear reader, The markets have been having some rough weeks. The outbreak of the Coronavirus has spread to over 100 countries and several countries have been in lockdown. The virus has impacted a lot on the world economy and will continue to do so for the rest of the year. Besides the Coronavirus there are more things affecting the global markets and the financial systems. The war on oil has spiked a great rally these last days and will continue to have great effect on different markets and industries. What is the everything bubble? I came about a video from Mike Maloney about a year and a half ago. Mike is big investor in global markets particularly to the world of precious metals such as gold and silver. His video's are of good inspiration and knowledge. He has a very openminded towards the different markets and the research he has done is very great to see things out of different perspectives. The title of his video is the everything bubble and I will leave a link t...
