Dear reader,
We are entering the last quarter of the year. This means that you have just three more months to work on your goals and dreams for the year. While it has been a rough year and for me some of my hopes and dreams vanished because of the corona virus it has also been a great opportunity to do new things and work on other goals.
Just like my last reports I am going to check up on my board to see where I am at, how far I have come and what I still need to do to finish off the year strong. I am going to dive into some of the topics to show you what I still wish to achieve and I am going to share my experience of having such a board and how it has helped me to get where I am today.
Goals:
At the beginning of the year I made this board and it has been in my bedroom, every day I am able to look at my goals and by visualizing them I am able to get a better understanding of where I am at and what I need to accomplish before the year ends. I have divided it into four pieces, personal, financial, health and dreams. All these things remind me of where I want to be by the end of the year. There is no time frame when each goal needs to be met, some I achieve earlier then others and others take a bit more time.
Personal: While I have been relaxing a bit during the summer and shifting my focus to other things, most of my personal goals are on track. Sometimes I can be a bit lazy and I may not use my day wisely but I have been more open to spontaneous actions where I discover new things. The most important goal was to read 20 books and I have read over 26 books and counting, I enjoy reading and buying books have become such a trill for me. Grade: 7.5
Financial: I have almost met my financial goals for the year. That means with three more months to go everything that I am able to save is extra and a bonus for my work. With regards to investing it goes on until the end of the year and I have been getting smarter and wiser when it comes to investing. My investments are for the short and long term so I am being diversified what gives me great leverage. During the market downturn in march I have made some investments that have paid out between the 30 and 60%. Because I am eager to get to my goals I either put off big expenses or I look in deeper if the expense is needed or not. Grade: 9
Health: A lot has happened these last months with regards to my health goals, I went a month vegan in preparation for my run in September what I have done within my desired results. I am eating vegetarian with some small moments that I am allowed to eat a piece of meat. During the last few months I have has a few moments when seeing old friends again that I allowed myself to drink but overall I don't drink a lot anymore. Working out has been great in preparation for my run but after that it has gone down hill, with two of my coaches quitting the program I have been lacking motivation. I need to get myself back to the gym to end the year strong. Grade: 7.5
Dreams: This is the part where I have not made the most progress, because of the lock downs and the amount of cases rising traveling and going out meeting new people is very low. With quarantines and travel restrictions I am not going to risk traveling. The same goes for finding love, because everyone is isolated, bars being closed and everyone wearing masks this has been difficult, let see what happens during the next few months. I have started building my website, I have set outlines for the goals of my business, I am writing a lot down and every day I think about new things to add. The start has been made and I want to keep up being live by the end of the year. Grade 6.5
My overall score is 7.625, there is a lot to do before the end of the year and I am positive that I can end this year stronger then ever. I need to get my focus back on track and work a bit harder but I am sure that I can make it. This board has helped me great along the way, it has been great to see some or more of the goals I have set out come to work. By keeping focus on the things that are important and minimizing other factors it is easier to keep clear of the path a head of you. I can tell you that sometimes you feel so down and lost but I always keep in my mind where I want to be and that I am the only one responsible for getting myself there.
Thank you for reading and see you next week.
