Week 27: Lifestyle to success !!

Dear reader,

"The way in which a person lives"

No I am not going to talk about the lifestyle of the super rich and the most successful people in the world. I am going to talk about the lifestyle to success. I you want to go to the top or reach success you need to be able to have a lifestyle that matches it. You need to be able to set yourself apart from the rest and you need to work when others are sleeping.

In this weeks blog I am going to take you down the road of my lifestyle where I have adapted rituals, habits and routines to make sure that I can enjoy my life and work hard to enjoy even more of life in the future. I am going to talk about what success and the lifestyle of the most successful people in the world. I am going to divide my lifestyles in different parts to make sure that I can show you what it takes to maintain a specific lifestyle.

Healthy Lifestyle:

Health is for me very important, I have in the past smoked and I used to drink every weekend. Now I have made an agreement with myself about the fact that I being drunk and smoking does not fit my healthy lifestyle. Not only is maintaining a healthy lifestyle with bad habits but also with good habits. Good habits for me include eating vegetarian and vegan. My body is like an engine and it needs to have the right fuel to keep the engine going and not to be lazy towards myself. You do need to live, so it is okay to snack and to treat your self. But do it as a reward and do not make it a habit.

The second part of a healthy lifestyle is exercise. Exercising is healthy and good lifestyle for your body and mind. Being able to get out and distract yourself from what is all going on in the world. Not only does exercise help you relax it also helps you to maintain more and better energy during the day. You will be more productive, happier and you will be able to get more things done.

Learning Lifestyle:

It is never to late to learn, that is one of the major lessons my parents have taught me. I may not have used it every time or for several years but I have adopted it to a major part of my life. I have become in love with reading books that can help me progress further in life, that can show who I am and how to reach the goals and dreams I always have in front of me.

The second part of learning is doing, by doing you are applying the theory to the practical. In this phase you will learn the most, you will learn when you succeed but you will also learn when you fail. Once you fail you will learn what you needed to differently or maybe you have to go back to the books and see if you have missed a part. Also time is a very important tool, further in time you will learn new things and you will learn that things you might have learned at one moment are actually related to something else.

The third step in learning is teaching, you are sharing your knowledge with others so they can succeed in the same way as that you can. I don't teach a lot but I have younger colleagues that ask me questions about investing, saving and money. With reading 10s of books and I have been practicing these subjects for a few years now I can say I have an okay understanding. If I don't know I tell them that to.

My Lifestyle:

These are major parts of my lifestyle and yes I do take some moments to rest in between. Sometimes you need to take a step back to get two steps a head. Learning and taking care of yourself is very important. Within my lifestyle I make sure that what is the most important at that moment gets the most attention that is needed and I adapt the rest to it. Of course I also enjoy life so I snack sometimes and I like to watch a movie as well. But it needs to as a reward.

What ever your lifestyle is you need to own it. You can't jump in and out of different lifestyles just because you like it. You need to find a way what works easy and comes easy for you. Just like habits don't think it will work out all in once, sometimes you need to change a few times before you know what fits good for you. This can take a few months but also a few years if needed.

If you have any questions leave them in the comments and see you next week!
Thank you for reading,

Week 60: Learn from others!!

Dear reader,  If there is something you want to do, know more about or become better at then often you can look for the right people that have been able to achieve what you want to do. By finding the right people that are able to teach you is far greater than keep making the same mistakes and failing at what you are willing to achieve. Most people that are good in something and are specialized are glad to help you to become better at whatever it is.  During the last few years I have been discovering most of my development myself. But at some moments and with somethings it is good to have someone you can ask for advice or more information. This week I am going to talk about what you can learn from others and what they can learn from you. In taking the steps to reach your success having someone around can have great advantages and maybe you can even help each other in some way or another.  Share the knowledge:   In this day and age it is easy to gain any type of knowle...

Week 12: Investing opportunity of a lifetime!!

Dear reader, These are crazy times, every country is going in lockdown, streets are empty, no airplanes in the sky. The world is changing as we know it. I use this time to educate myself. I have bought several books and I am planning on buying some more in the next weeks. But why is this the investing opportunity of a lifetime? Isn't the stock market falling down every day, aren't the business closed now and everyone is working from home..??? As Warren Buffet says: Attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy when others are fearful. Four opportunities of a lifetime: In our lifetime we will have four or five great business cycles where we can profit from. This means we are able to buy the business that we like so much at a discount from where it was several months ago. Think like you are doing your shopping. You love steaks, this week steak is at $5,- a pound, that's a lot for a steak, now you wait a week and you see that the same steak is sel...

Week 10: The everything bubble!!

Dear reader, The markets have been having some rough weeks. The outbreak of the Coronavirus has spread to over 100 countries and several countries have been in lockdown. The virus has impacted a lot on the world economy and will continue to do so for the rest of the year. Besides the Coronavirus there are more things affecting the global markets and the financial systems. The war on oil has spiked a great rally these last days and will continue to have great effect on different markets and industries. What is the everything bubble? I came about a video from Mike Maloney about a year and a half ago. Mike is big investor in global markets particularly to the world of precious metals such as gold and silver. His video's are of good inspiration and knowledge. He has a very openminded towards the different markets and the research he has done is very great to see things out of different perspectives. The title of his video is the everything bubble and I will leave a link t...
