Week 25: Progess report Q2!!

Dear reader,

"Progress is a slow process, the reward is the most fun feeling to process"

We have made it all ready past the second quarter of the year! That means that with all has happened the year is half way finished. This is also a good moment to check upon if you have reached part of your goals for the year. Have you been doing what you want or are you stuck and has the time got a way from you?

Today I am going to show you my Q2 report card. I am going to look at my goals, habits, finances and check my overall score. I will be comparing to Q1 but I will remain objective since in this quarter way different things have happened than the last quarter. It is time again to have a look at myself and to see if I am on the right track and what might need to change.

Goals:
Let's get the board out again and see the progress that I have made. If I look at my personal goals I do notice that I take action right a way. My procrastination has gone down but I still can be lazy sometimes. My second goal to read 20 books have gone by easily. I have read 22 books up until now and I am on my way to double that goal for the end of the year.
When looking at my financial goals I am on track, I keep my savings goal and I keep monthly investing. At the end of the year I know better if I have reached my financial goals. I am on track and I do keep track of them.

My health goals have gone very good this part quarter. I have gone 90 days without any alcohol!! I am on track to reducing to zero and I feel so much better if I am not drinking. Working out has been tough. With the gyms closed during the corona lock down I have improvised a home gym and have been running outside. The workouts felt good but it is not the same as the actual gym. I hope to start back soon again.
I have eaten meat on special occasions and I felt that my energy was gone for a few days. So I am going to stick and keep to my vegetarian or vegan diet.

My dreams are slowly staring to come out. I have put myself back out on the dating apps and even had a date. Unfortunately it stayed with one date but it was good to be out again. Traveling is hard because of the lock down. There are plans to see up until September how everything goes and maybe take a trip at the end of the year. My business startup is going well. I am working on designing a website and hope to have it up and running by the start of 2021.. to be continued!!
Habits:
Since the last report I have been working and reading on habits. I have read some great books about them and I have worked out a way that habits work effectively for me and that I can track them easily. What I do is I write out 5 habits that I want to have or that I would rather see gone. Before I go to sleep every evening I check of that I have completed the changing habit. This allows me to keep score and to keep track of the progress of each habit.

Finances:
In the last report I have talked about the fact that it was a good investing opportunity. Looking back at the past months and looking at the stock market I can see easily that you could have made 30% or higher gains if you have invested in the down turn. I don't think that we are back to normal financially and there will be another down turn that will be far worse. So I keep myself financially prepared and financially educated so that I can make the most out of every opportunity that arises in the future.

Overall score 8:
Goals: 8.5, I have used the past quarter effectively to work on my goals and make them happen.
Habits: 7.5,  I have learned how to use my habits effectively. How to create new ones and break old once. Now I need to see if they stay on track!
Finances: 8, I have learned a lot from the last quarter and I can see my net worth grow with a steady pace.
I have felt that the last quarter was a moment of learning and focusing on what is truly important. You need to deal with setbacks and use your own creativity to get what you want out of life.

Please check up on yourself once and a while to see how well you are doing and if you are not loosing track. Create what is for yourself the best way to do so and see where you need improvement. If you are able to do this than you can control your life a bit better and the future would be amazing.

Thank you for reading and see you next week!!

Franklin, Momennts2Success.

Week 60: Learn from others!!

Dear reader,  If there is something you want to do, know more about or become better at then often you can look for the right people that have been able to achieve what you want to do. By finding the right people that are able to teach you is far greater than keep making the same mistakes and failing at what you are willing to achieve. Most people that are good in something and are specialized are glad to help you to become better at whatever it is.  During the last few years I have been discovering most of my development myself. But at some moments and with somethings it is good to have someone you can ask for advice or more information. This week I am going to talk about what you can learn from others and what they can learn from you. In taking the steps to reach your success having someone around can have great advantages and maybe you can even help each other in some way or another.  Share the knowledge:   In this day and age it is easy to gain any type of knowle...

Week 12: Investing opportunity of a lifetime!!

Dear reader, These are crazy times, every country is going in lockdown, streets are empty, no airplanes in the sky. The world is changing as we know it. I use this time to educate myself. I have bought several books and I am planning on buying some more in the next weeks. But why is this the investing opportunity of a lifetime? Isn't the stock market falling down every day, aren't the business closed now and everyone is working from home..??? As Warren Buffet says: Attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy when others are fearful. Four opportunities of a lifetime: In our lifetime we will have four or five great business cycles where we can profit from. This means we are able to buy the business that we like so much at a discount from where it was several months ago. Think like you are doing your shopping. You love steaks, this week steak is at $5,- a pound, that's a lot for a steak, now you wait a week and you see that the same steak is sel...

Week 10: The everything bubble!!

Dear reader, The markets have been having some rough weeks. The outbreak of the Coronavirus has spread to over 100 countries and several countries have been in lockdown. The virus has impacted a lot on the world economy and will continue to do so for the rest of the year. Besides the Coronavirus there are more things affecting the global markets and the financial systems. The war on oil has spiked a great rally these last days and will continue to have great effect on different markets and industries. What is the everything bubble? I came about a video from Mike Maloney about a year and a half ago. Mike is big investor in global markets particularly to the world of precious metals such as gold and silver. His video's are of good inspiration and knowledge. He has a very openminded towards the different markets and the research he has done is very great to see things out of different perspectives. The title of his video is the everything bubble and I will leave a link t...
