Also with adds on the television, magazines, billboards or even in our favorite tv shows we are being shown pornographic material. Next to this any porn movie you would like to watch in the world is just a few clicks away.
Don't get me wrong, I like to see beautiful woman and be around them. But there is a darker twist to it what I will explain during this weeks blog. I also have watched porn during my teens and twenty's I am not going to lie about it. It is become part of our society and it has a lot of influence on us as a society.
The porn industry:
The porn industry is one of the largest industries in the world. Every year one of the world largest sites PornHub has his "annual report" they are so proud to show of how much content has been consumed on their site. Let's go over some of their numbers:
115 million visits each day.
6.83 million uploads.
1.36 million hours of new content = 169 years of content to be watched.
Then there is in their annual report the activity on the website each minute.
My experience:
- Week 1: Day 1 to 7, Kickoff!!
The first few days went by easily, after about I week the urges started to come up and the voice in my head wanted to know what was going on. It was exciting to start the 90 days but it also looks so far a way. Because I have done it before the first week was kind of easy. I focused my energy and mind to exercise and reading so I would be more distracted and to keep myself busy.
- Weeks 2 and 3: Days 7 to 21, Hang in their!!
This is often the hardest part and the part where you will feel and see the change.
The hardest part is to tone your mind down. It will think about sex or it would start to fantasize about a previous lover. These are fun and happy thoughts but they lure you in and you need to stay strong to keep up with your goal.
- Weeks 4 and 5: Days 21 to 35, Reboot phase!!
This is a hard part, you will have urges for masturbation or thoughts will enter your mind. This is the time where you will know if you are in control or not. For me these weeks I started to have wet dreams. I looked it up and they said it has no effect on your progress. It emphasizes that your body is turning back to normal. Also I would notice mood swings and because of the research done before I knew why it was happening and that it eventually would fade a way.
- Weeks 6 and 7: Days 35 to 49, Evolving!!
These are very interesting weeks. Once you are able to get further down the road and in the higher numbers the days go by faster. The urges are their but it is easier to get past and or over them. You feel more energy and you will feel that you can achieve anything. You will have some down moments in between but just as the urges they are easier to deal and handle with. I have realized that I react quicker and my jokes and comments are becoming better. I start to realize at the end of the 40+ days that people start looking more at me. I can see tremendous muscle growth because of the exercising that I do. This is the part that it all starts making sense to me and I have more motivation then ever to reach the 90 day mark and go beyond.
- Weeks 8 and 9: Days 49 to 63, Worth the sacrifice!!
I have been thinking, writing, testing and working on this blog post for several months now. It is going to be my biggest, most well experimented, researched and tested blog post to date. It is going to be a longer then any normal post that I have done. I have been waiting a long time for this, but that is part of the research, testing and experimenting that I have done.

For about three years almost I have been working on personal development and self development. During this time I have found many different studies that have affect on different parts of your body, mind and spirit. But there has been one that has had my attention. It is called, No Fap. What No Fap stands for is no masturbation, pornography or any sexual act that is performed alone.

So as you can see a lot of activity is happening on this website. You can dig as deep as you want and you will see that not only men but more and more woman are staring to watch porn. In an every day life watching porn is like going to Facebook. Almost everybody is on it and people are not even ashamed.
There is an interesting interview on Valuetaiment with Daniel Lieberman on how dopamine and porn work together on your brain. He explains it in the similar way someone is addicted to alcohol. You first start of with a beer, then progress further to stronger alcoholic drinks and finally you are drinking the vodka right from the bottle. He says the same goes for porn. You start of with tame stuff and as the time goes by you are progressing to harder acts and then real woman or men aren't able to do it for you any more.
Porn is not only destroying relationships, marriages, health, finances, social interactions and even your job but it is destroying your whole life. People who watch porn have ideas about love and sex which are falsely made up by the industry. During my research I was amazed about how often and how much people say they consumed. There are people that are so addicted they need to watch it three time a day or they spend their weekend inside watching porn!
Some of the statistics have blown my mind during my No Fap journey and I know for sure I am never ever going to watch it again.
No Fap:
As mentioned earlier I have experienced with No Fap in the past. I have tried it several times, sometimes for a few weeks to maybe a month but couldn't go longer then that. I never had the urge to masturbate or watch porn three times a day, let a lone every day. I work until late in the evening and often tired when I get home.
What No Fap really means is that you don't watch porn or masturbate. It is an online platform that tries to help people to get a way from porn and do something more effective, feel better, healthier and have better social life. No Fap educates people what the affects are off masturbation as well as the benefits of no masturbation.
There are a lot of benefits to not watching porn or quitting masturbation all together. Some of the greater benefits are:
- Increased energy
- Self confidence
- Mental clarity
- Not thinking about sex all the time
- Muscle growth
- Better sleep
- Improved focused and concentration
(You will find more benefits online, not all benefits are reached right a way but in stages. We will get to that in a bit.)
Once you see what the benefits can do to you and how much effect it can have on your life you might want to think twice and try to break a bad habit.
There are different stages with regards to No Fap, just like quitting smoking when you progress over time your body becomes clear of the toxins that have entered your body. The same goes for No Fap but not only will you see the difference in your body also you will feel it in your mind. Just like some off the benefits mentioned above they develop over time. Your body and mind need to adjust to the urge of masturbation and the pornographic images. If you are familiar with the effects of compounding you will have great experience in knowing that it takes time to reach the desired results.
Every one is wired differently and for some people the addiction or dependency is greater then for others. So you need to judge fairly for yourself where in the spectrum you are and where your goals is going to be. I have chosen two different timelines to show to you. There are different types and like I mentioned for everyone it works differently. If you look online you will find posts of people that have made daily journals out of it. But these timelines are very accurate and read then carefully to see for yourself what happens at what stage.
To understand the timeline is very important. You need to know why you are having mood swings or why you have urges to relapse. If you understand this while you are committing to No Fap it makes it easier for you and maybe the people around you that you have to get past these stages to get the results you want to have.
My experience:
As I mentioned earlier I have tried it several times and failed after 30 or 40 days. Every time it happened I was kind of disappointed with myself and I knew I could do much better. But doing more research every time and having the timelines it was easier for me to understand why I was going in and out of these stages. So don't worry if you get it in the first round, stay focused and try it again. Because I don't have any addictions to porn or I don't have the urge to masturbate on a daily basis the process works different. Also I have learned from my failures and this time I am going for the full 90 days!! I have a whiteboard in my room where I display five habits that I want to change in 90 days. Number one is No Fap. Every night before I go to bed I modify the number to the amount of days.

This is very fun time, I realize that my thinking, speaking, conversations and comments became sharper. I feel better, more confident and I feel that I am growing every day. This time is also the longest I have gone up until now without masturbation or ejaculation so the pride and energy to move forward are stronger then ever. I notice that getting towards and around the 60 day mark that people are looking at me more. Men and women, not only from my own age but of all ages. I think there is a kind of attraction to semen retention and No Fap.
- Weeks 10 and 11: Days 63 to 77, Almost there!!
This is a second testing time, you will be tested how well you can control your desires and your urges. It won't be as difficult as the beginning of the journey. But you have come so far that it will set you back to square one if you relapse. You will be able to control it better because of the strong will you have created. You have almost slayed the dragon and have won the battle. You got so much to lose and it is not worth it.
- Weeks 12 and 13: Days 77 to 91, The finish is in sight!!
You have made it past the 90 days!! If you look back the time has gone so quick. I have kept quiet about the research I was doing so I could fully focus on this project. But it doesn't end here. It is not that you go back to your normal life. You want to continue forward and keep all the great benefits that you have from not watching porn or masturbating.
FAQ:
You probably have a lot of questions, I can understand it. I had a lot of questions before and during this journey. Before I start of with some of the questions I need to share a bit more information.
There are different ways of doing No Fap. There is a hard mode and a classical mode. As well as there is semen retention. For each of these modes their are different benefits.
Hard mode is what I have done, you have no sex, porn, nor do you masturbate for the full period or longer.
Then there is the classical mode, in this mode you may have sex with a partner, but you may not fantasize about porn (yes it happens during sex...), but there is no masturbation or porn allowed in this mode. Then you have semen retention and this might be a difficult one. In this mode you may have sex but you may not ejaculate. What this does it transmutes your sexual energy back into your body. I have never tried this, please do some research and talk to you partner before doing this.
Q: May I have sex during No Fap?
A: Yes you may, but you may not fantasize about porn, watch porn or masturbate.
Q: How long would you recommend trying No Fap?
A: I would start with a week and then progress slowly to a month or three months. You have to learn new things about your body that is why the stages are very important.
Q: Should I talk to my partner about it?
A: If you have healthy sexual relationship you should be able to talk to your partner about it. My previous experience was that she was supportive in this process.
Q: What if fail?
A: It is okay if you fail, because you fail you learn. The only thing you need to understand is why you have failed and what you can do to avoid it. See the timeline half way in the blog.
Q: What should I do when I have urges?
A: Do something effective, go to the gym, for a walk or read a book. What ever gets your mind away from your urges.
Conclusion:
For my readers whom have read Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill. This is chapter 11: The Mystery of Sex Transmutation. After being on No Fap and reading this chapter it all made sense to me. I am not going to spoil it for you.
I have found this a very interesting and learning part of my life. If people ask if was addicted, I would say no because I didn't have the urges to watch porn of masturbate every day. But looking at the symptoms and the way it works and the time it takes to develop this looks a lot like an addiction. This a silent addiction where you have different symptoms then other addictions but being able to ban it out of my life and learn to create greatness is a far better pleasure then watching porn or masturbating.
From day one it looks so far a way but when you passed day 90 then it feels like the time has passed and you can become anything you want and or desire. There are great benefits to this and the most important benefits for me where, better sleep, more confident, stronger and more muscle growth, seeing sharper and more colors, being able to be more productive, there are so many more benefits and I wish to explain them all.
This has been a long journey for me, started over a year ago but over the past 90 days I have learned so much about my body and see what my potential is or could be. I could have gone deeper in some parts about this subject and I could possibly write more blog about it. Maybe I will get back to this subject further on in this journey. I believe that the most successful people in the world are able to create and have so much success is because their able to control their sexual desires and use their sexual energy to create great achievements.
