Dear reader,
"Focus on one's mind for a period of time, in silence or with the aid of chanting, for religious or spiritual purpose or as a method of relaxation"
For the last several months I have been experimenting with different habits, I have been braking bad habits and creating new one's. For about a year I have been experimenting and learning about the powers of mediation and mindfulness. While reading and learning about the most successful people in the world a lot of them practice and use their spiritual power and energy to gain their success and fortune.
For almost the last 90 days I have been meditating every evening before going to sleep. I wanted to see, feel and experience for myself the powers of being spiritual and learning how to use mindfulness in the most effective way possible. Today I am going to take you on my journey of 90 days of meditation, what I have learned and how I use it for my success.
What is meditation?:
Meditation is form of mindfulness. It's goal is to town down and quiet your thoughts. On average we have about 60 thousands thoughts a day. So for some people keeping up with your self and a mind that doesn't shut up it can drain them in many different ways. Meditation is a great way to give your mind small breaks and to find back your focus or energy. Meditation has been around for centuries and is being practiced all around the world every day.
During a meditation you are basically focusing your mind on your breathing and letting any thoughts that come to mind fade a way. You are learning to take control over your spiritual part of your body. For some people the feeling can be eye opening while for others it might not do much. While your mind has a life of it's own sometimes you need to bring it back to it's feet and with meditating you are able to do that.
Why meditation?:
Meditation is very good for every one. Whether you are a kid in school or working a very stressful job. Being able to take a few moments out of each day to regain your focus, tone down your emotions or gain inspiration. By just breathing and letting your mind quite down you are able to achieve greater things than you have ever imagined.
Their is no right or wrong with regards to meditating. Their is just on way and it is breath. You will focus you mind and body on your breathing while letting go of mediation. It is a great relieve for stress, emotions, panic attacks, depressions and other mental conditions. Some of the most successful people in world use the power of meditating before making great decisions.
90 days of meditation:
Every evening for the last 90 days before I would go to sleep I would take a few moments to calm my mind. I would listen to a guided meditation while preparing to finish of my day. I would follow the guides that they provide me during the meditation and solely focus on my breathing. I would have a program on for about 12 minutes.
Not every day you would be able to focus for the full 12 minutes on the mediation. Some days I would go just a few minutes and other times I would be feeling so good that I would continue to keep the great feeling. Some days you will feel tired and you don't want to do it. But once you have done it and once you are about half way in the meditation you will feel more relaxed.
My conclusion:
After 90 days of meditation I do feel more spiritual. Also it feels easier to handle situations and to deal with people that have negative emotions. Not every day you will be able to do a full meditation. Often my mind was so far wondering off in thoughts or I would be yawing that my mind couldn't find the rest it needed. Once you meditate at a specific time in your day it becomes easier to do. I would say to myself it is just 12 minutes and sometimes I would be meditating for 20 minutes
When meditating, when I am about half way in the meditation I would feel more at rest and as the days would go it would be easier to and more naturally my mind would quiet down. Now meditating has become part of my daily routine. I will continue to meditate every evening. The next step is to find a great morning meditation as well and being able to be completely calm and focused for the start of the day.
