Week 0: Who am I...?

Dear readers,

Welcome to the Life's Journey blog from Moments2Success.
This is a blog about success. Success can be found in many different areas and each person has a different view of the meaning of the word 'success'.

Who am I...?
My name is Franklin and I am 28 years old, I live in the great city of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
I work in a restaurant 4 days a week and I have the greatest assets to my use and that is time. I have a a lot of it, just like everyone else. I am working on managing my time effectively and use the most out of every day.

My journey started after spending a month in the Philippines, I love to travel and see the world. Also I enjoy the warm weather, sunlight and the beaches. After I came back from my holiday I wanted to start something for myself. I was looking at the different things that interest me and that give me joy and fulfillment.

Just do it!
Last February I started with Personal Body Plan. This is a work out program where I have a coach that motivates me eating right, working out and becoming a stronger and healthier person. This has been a life changing journey. I have reduced my alcohol usage, I track my sleep, the food that I eat and the progress that I am making in the program. Now After 10 months I can see the physical changes on my body. I feel stronger and healthier, I have more energy, I feel motivated and inspired to help others.

My interests:
My interest lay in Finance, Personal development and Self development. I am an investor in different global markets as an investor in myself. I read a lot of different books about these topics that interest me. I want to learn everything about the three topics. One of the main things I have learned is that they are all related to each other.

Having financial stability helps you to achieve greater things, you will have less stress, sleep better at night and develop stronger. Often when people are setting goals they have financial goals on which they like to work and depend.

What I have realized is that everything changes so fast, the markets can be up one day and down the next. With the ever so fast changing world you want to stay up to date. We all have a phone in our pocket that can show as anything we want to see or hear at every given moment. But sometimes we get so distracted by the world that we forget what is really important. Our journey has happened.

The blog
The goal of my blog is to take you on a weekly journey in my life. The good and the bad. The lessons and the success that I and also you can have by making specific choices. My three core topics are as mentioned earlier. Finance, Personal development and Self development. From the year 2020 every Monday I will be posting a new blog about these different topics and share my experiences, goals and successes and failures.

What I would like from YOU? I would like that every once and a while you look back on your life and ask yourself the question am I am track? Am I doing what I should be doing or am I loosing control? Once you start loosing control you will loose a lot and the time it takes to recover to be back on track is much harder than to regularly check in with your self to ask the questions I just mentioned earlier.

The year is almost over, this is often the time that people reflect back and see for them selfs what there goals are for the new year. Take this week to look at your self, ask the questions and set out goals for yourself. In the coming blogs I will explain how you can set goals for yourself and how easy it can be to keep track of them.

I hope you join me on this journey and I am curious about your journey. Enjoy the last few years of 2019 and a new decade is just around the corner with all new possibilities. See you next year.

Franklin, Moments2Success.

PS: I am not a writer, I am sorry for the mistakes that I make in my writing. Read my blogs just like I am talking to you. I will do my best to correct any mistake.
Thank You!

Week 60: Learn from others!!

Dear reader,  If there is something you want to do, know more about or become better at then often you can look for the right people that have been able to achieve what you want to do. By finding the right people that are able to teach you is far greater than keep making the same mistakes and failing at what you are willing to achieve. Most people that are good in something and are specialized are glad to help you to become better at whatever it is.  During the last few years I have been discovering most of my development myself. But at some moments and with somethings it is good to have someone you can ask for advice or more information. This week I am going to talk about what you can learn from others and what they can learn from you. In taking the steps to reach your success having someone around can have great advantages and maybe you can even help each other in some way or another.  Share the knowledge:   In this day and age it is easy to gain any type of knowle...

Week 12: Investing opportunity of a lifetime!!

Dear reader, These are crazy times, every country is going in lockdown, streets are empty, no airplanes in the sky. The world is changing as we know it. I use this time to educate myself. I have bought several books and I am planning on buying some more in the next weeks. But why is this the investing opportunity of a lifetime? Isn't the stock market falling down every day, aren't the business closed now and everyone is working from home..??? As Warren Buffet says: Attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy when others are fearful. Four opportunities of a lifetime: In our lifetime we will have four or five great business cycles where we can profit from. This means we are able to buy the business that we like so much at a discount from where it was several months ago. Think like you are doing your shopping. You love steaks, this week steak is at $5,- a pound, that's a lot for a steak, now you wait a week and you see that the same steak is sel...

Week 10: The everything bubble!!

Dear reader, The markets have been having some rough weeks. The outbreak of the Coronavirus has spread to over 100 countries and several countries have been in lockdown. The virus has impacted a lot on the world economy and will continue to do so for the rest of the year. Besides the Coronavirus there are more things affecting the global markets and the financial systems. The war on oil has spiked a great rally these last days and will continue to have great effect on different markets and industries. What is the everything bubble? I came about a video from Mike Maloney about a year and a half ago. Mike is big investor in global markets particularly to the world of precious metals such as gold and silver. His video's are of good inspiration and knowledge. He has a very openminded towards the different markets and the research he has done is very great to see things out of different perspectives. The title of his video is the everything bubble and I will leave a link t...
